I installed this Aliwood product on the gable ends of my house about 12 years ago & it has stood the test of time well. I live in Noosa, QLD, overlooking the beach where the salt, sun, wind & rain are endless punishing patterns on any product. I have been very impressed at how well the product has lasted & the fact that it never requires maintenance other than a hose to remove the cobwebs now & then.

Mate just wanted to let you know my order arrived this morning, delivery guy was unreal even managed to hiab it right up into the shed. Managed to get one door done and then was beat by the heat! Love the product mate, looks unreal on and I’m very impressed at how easy it is to install. Have attached a pic of the progress so far.

I used Aliwood clip on battens to cover up the existing white rendered box of an existing residence to completely transform the front elevation. My clients where initially looking for a low maintenance composite timber cladding but we struggled to find something which satisfied our needs for longevity and also the aesthetic requirements. The aliwood system allowed us to complete a modern renovation with ease of installation and with the durability of aluminium.

FYI we used the Aliwood because the architect wanted the ceiling inside the living area to flow to the outside covered areas but due to the bushfire requirements we were not able to use real timber. Our concern was the powder coating would be too consistent and not provide a real timber look, however it wasn’t the case and most people who see it don’t believe it’s not timber.
